Shooting at Concord Plaza shopping center started with argument in vape shop – STLtoday.com

SAPPINGTON • An argument between five men in a South County vape shop spilled outside, where one of the men shot another on the parking lot of the Concord Plaza Shopping Center.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was in critical condition after the shooting. All of the men remained until police arrived and arrested the suspected shooter.

The victim was shot about 1:45 p.m. outside the MOvape smoke shop, police said. A swarm of officers quickly showed up at the scene, and the parking lot was locked down. People were not being allowed to leave more than three hours after the shooting as officers investigated.

“We have a lot of people to talk to,” St. Louis County Police Sgt. Shawn McGuire said.

The shopping center is at Lindbergh Boulevard and Baptist Church Road in the Sappington area.
