Lady Lake police track down suspect in theft of electronic vape at Best Buy – Villages-News

Lady Lake police have tracked down a suspect in the theft of an electronic vape smoking device at Best Buy.

The man was captured on video surveillance entering the store at about 3:30 p.m. March 11 and selecting the K1 Smok Mag 225w black tank with a red mouthpiece. He took the item, valued at $130, into the Auto Installer bay and made an appointment, providing his phone number. He left the store with the item and did not keep the appointment.

Through social media, 29-year-old Steven Rey Segura of Summerfield was identified as a suspect.

He has an extensive criminal history, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.

Segura was spotted driving a black Jeep on March 23 in Lady Lake. He was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $2,000 bond.
