It has become one of the most popular ways to quit smoking.

Vaping has helped millions of people to kick the habit and give up cigarettes for good.

As the popularity of e-cigarettes has increased, the laws around them have been reviewed – and a raft of new legislation around vaping is now being introduce.

The Tobacco Products Directive comes into force on Saturday, May 20 and will have an impact on everyone who uses e-cigarettes.

We have taken a look at the changes here and how they will affect you.

Is vaping going to be made illegal?

No – vaping will not be banned.

However some quarters have criticised the Government, as they believe they’re doing ‘all they can’ to discourage the habit without actually banning it.

What will happen, however, are new restrictions on the strength of liquids and limiting the size of tanks.
